GenieMat RST is the sound control line in our wholesale flooring products catalog. Pliteq builds it for multi-family, high-rise, and commercial projects where noise between units is written into the spec.
GenieMat RST is a flat, resilient, reduced sound transmission mat made from 94% recycled rubber content. It installs directly under hard surface floor finishes and over concrete and wood construction, and it is specified when superior sound control is required in multi-family housing, high-rises, and commercial buildings.
Under ceramic tile, porcelain, and stone, the mat also protects the finish from substrate cracks. Pliteq is the inventor of the patented technology for recycled rubber used as impact sound insulation directly below floor coverings (US 6920723, US RE41945, CA 2398262), and its position is simple: rubber is the best vibration isolation material.
For contractors running builder and commercial supply orders on multi-family work, the underlayment can ride on the same order as the floor.
GenieMat RST is approved for porcelain tile, vinyl sheet, luxury vinyl plank, ceramic tile, and all types of wood floor. It is engineered for direct adhered floor coverings, with a positive adhesive lock for very high bond strengths.
If the finish floor on your job is vinyl, Ultimate Floors stocks glue-down LVT and SPC and LVP flooring in the same warehouses as the mat. Confirm each assembly against the Pliteq installation manual for the finish you are using.
